Manta Club invites you to our annual Match*A*Manta Tournament!!

Come and enjoy a day with challenging underwater hockey games, music, braai and summer sun!!!

WHO: Only senior teams

WHERE: Cornwall Hill College Swimming pool, Irene, Pretoria

WHEN: Saturday 3 March 2007

TIME: 08h30 – Captains Meeting 09h00 – Games to start

COST: R20 per player (this includes a boerewors roll at the end of the tournament).

HOW: Senior teams are invited to join us for an exciting day full of H²O hockey games.

* Games will be +/- 10min on each side.

* A Chief ref and 2 water refs to be present at all games.

* At the end of the day, we will have final play-offs to determine the winning teams.

* Note that the pool is a salt pool and is not heated.

* It has a big enough play area to have two games played simultaneously.

Eats, Drinks & Other

* There will be a Tuck shop available on the day of the tournament. Remember to bring some cash with.

* After the tournament, each player will get a boerewors roll–prepared by your Manta host team. (Vouchers for the boerewors rolls to be collected from the team captains).

* There are sufficient shade nets so no need to bring umbrellas, but do remember your sun screen!

* Make sure that your hockey kit is up to tournament standard, and that all sticks are completely black or white. Strict Club and National rules will apply.

Directions:

* COMING FROM PRETORIA

you may either travel along the R21 in the direction of the Airport

Take the IRENE turnoff

Turn right over the highway which will bring you into NELLMAPIUS DRIVE

Ignore Pierre van Ryneveld turnoff Robot straight on

At the next robot turn left into CORNWALL HILL COLLEGE

Travelling along the N1 South from Pretoria take the BOTHA AVENUE (BOTHA LAAN) offramp.

Turn left at robots After THE IRENE VILLAGE SHOPPING CENTRE

at 4way stop turn left into NELLMAPIUS DRIVE

Continue under the railway bridge

At the 1st set of robots turn right into CORNWALL HILL COLLEGE

* Entries close on: Monday 19 February 2007

* All team names to be confirmed on attached entry form (Praat met Eddie hieroor!)

* All payments to be made on or before 19 February 2007.

Parking:

* As you turn into the boom gate of the school, turn left and pass the parking lot. Drive up all the way until the road makes a turn to the right. The swimming pool will be on your left hand side. Pass the swimming pool and you will find a parking area.

* Should this parking area be full, continue to the sport field in front of you, and park there.

Parking is free of charge.
